NHS ODS weekly prescribing-related data
Complete data files are available for general practitioners (GPs), GP practices, branch surgeries, pharmacy headquarters and dispensaries.
Releases include weekly data amendments, but exclude the practitioner amendment file.
ODS will withdraw this item on 30 September 2025 as part of its product modernisation and rationalisation work. ODS has sent migration notices to all current subscribers.
A new tool, ODS Data Search and Export, lets you create and save data extracts that contain only the data you need. Because the data refreshes daily, you can run them on a schedule that meets your needs rather than one that ODS dictates.
You can use this tool as an alternative to a TRUD item subscription. For details, see ODS Data Search and Export guidance.
