NHS England is responsible for the publication and maintenance of the NHS Information Standards ICD and OPCS-4 on behalf of the United Kingdom, as well as other products to support the implementation of these clinical classifications and derivative products.
The NHS England Terminology and Classifications Delivery Service sets the national clinical coding standards for these classifications in England and is the definitive source for these standards and guidance.
