Emergency Care Data Set XML Schema version 4
This release is useable from 1 July 2023.
This is an update of the previous 20 January 2023 release (now withdrawn). It corrects the cardinality of the data group EXPECTED DATE AND TIME OF TREATMENT to match the NHS Data Model and Dictionary.
The Information Standard was approved by the Data Coordination Board as DCB0092-2062 : Commissioning Data Sets: Emergency Care Data Set.
Previous versions supplement the existing CDS062 version and allows submission of CDS011 (Emergency Care) CDS Type only.
Release 2.1
This release is useable from 1 October 2020.
At the time of publication of the version 2.1 Information Standard, the implementation and conformance dates are subject to change depending on the need for continuing frontline investment in COVID-19 activity. Any change will be agreed between the Data Coordination Board and the developers, and will be announced through Information Standard notifications at DCB0147: National Cancer Waiting Times Monitoring Data Set.
This release contains only NHS Data Model and Dictionary Data Element names and XML Schema names. No validation of Format/Length or National Codes is included in the XML Schema.

IAPTMasterIDB_2.1_v1.2.zip
This release is useable from May 2022.
Included are changes to reflect the capture of Gender, Medical History and amendments to align with the NHS Data Model and Dictionary. See the included production log for details.
This release supercedes the previous release of the IDB and resolves the issue of entered text being padded with spaces up to the maximum field length.
Use this release for all 2.1 submissions going forward.
IAPT 2.1 submissions start from May 2022 for April 2022 reporting period data.
Providers must continue to use the IAPT v2.0 IDB (IAPTMasterIDB_2.0_v7.accdb.zip) for any submissions of IAPT v2.0 data, with the final collection in the IAPT v2.0 format currently expected to be for the March 2022 reporting period.

Aligning the SNOMED CT UK Drug Extension model with SNOMED International
Further to the news posted on Delen regarding the planned phase 2 changes to the SNOMED CT UK Drug Extension, NHS England will go live with the phase 2 changes in release 41.5.0, due 18 February 2026.
NHS England will release a user survey and accompanying test files for the phase 3 (AMP) and phase 4 (AMPP) changes to understand user impacts. They plan to go live with the phase 3 and phase 4 changes together in a joint release.

Aligning the SNOMED CT UK Drug Extension model with SNOMED International
Following the phase 1 changes implemented in October 2025, NHS England is now progressing with the phase 2 changes.
The NHS England web page on aligning dm+d VMPP class medicinal products to the SNOMED International drug model has been updated with information about the changes, including examples and diagrams to help explain them.
Test files with the phase 2 changes to the SNOMED CT UK Drug Extension are available on Delen.
The changes are planned to be implemented in the first quarter of 2026.
In preparation, NHS England is asking SNOMED CT UK Drug Extension users to complete a survey so they can understand the effect the changes may have. Your feedback will help NHS England work with you to implement these changes.

Test files available for SNOMED CT UK Drug Extension model alignment
This is an update to the Delen news published on 1 July 2025. The test files for the phase 1 changes to the SNOMED CT UK Drug Extension are now available. The files and supporting information are on Delen.
NHS England now plans to go live with these changes in October 2025, instead of September 2025 as previously communicated.

Aligning the SNOMED CT UK Drug Extension model with SNOMED International
NHS England has added more detail and examples to its Updating the SNOMED CT UK Drug Extension model page. This follows feedback from the recent user survey.
The plan is to:
- release a test file with the Phase 1 changes for SNOMED CT UK Drug Extension users in July 2025
- go live with the Phase 1 changes in the SNOMED CT UK Drug Extension in September 2025
