MS Access database tool for collating data for submission to MSDS.
The tool can be populated with the relevant data and submitted to the landing platform. Use of the tool is optional as submissions can also be made in an XML format directly.
The IDB can be populated with the relevant data and submitted, and the landing platform will then convert the data into the required XML format. Use of the IDB is optional as submissions can also be made in an XML format directly.
The structure of the IDB must not be altered in any way. All the tables must be present, even if some of these are not appropriate to the submission (based on the activity that has taken place). All the fields listed in each table must also be present and the field types must be exactly as specified.
The data items required to populate the MSDS IDB should be extracted directly from the appropriate service provider system(s) such as a clinical system or Patient Administration System (PAS).
